Room slippers of real quality, woven by artisans from Japanese-grown igusa,
where a design built around the material meets genuine comfort.
Made in pursuit of a beautiful presence and an ease that belongs in daily life.
The crisp touch particular to tatami, and a springiness that receives the foot gently.
The comfort of that first step after a bath, or a moment of calm between reading and housework.
A quiet luxury, and a released ease, brought into everyday living.
■ Style
Tatami is used not only for the insole but across the instep, formed into an arch.
Tatami normally cracks when bent, so artisans drew on precise technique
to shape it into a supple, beautiful curve.
Cushioning is laid beneath the tatami, making its springiness easier to feel underfoot.
■ Material
Igusa (tatami rush), prized for absorbing moisture and reducing odor.
As a natural material, every strand of igusa carries a different character, creating a natural gradation.
That depth is one reason the slippers grow on you with every wear.
The piping framing the tatami is made from an ethical leather derived from recycled PET bottles.
Kind to the environment, with a genuinely refined finish.
