A sustainable tatami shoulder bag joins Liberato's leather collection.
A singular design where the beauty of Japan meets a modern edge — an object with enough presence to simply sit beside you and quietly move you.

Two panels of leather and tatami are fitted together like a puzzle, striking an exquisite balance between the two materials.

For all the novelty of tatami, it pairs easily with a simple outfit.
Remove the strap and it also works as a clutch.

Leather traces the border of the tatami, echoing the tatami-beri edging of traditional flooring — a detail with quiet wit.
An antique-finish gold zip lends a sense of quality.

A front pocket sits beneath the tatami panel, with a further zip pocket inside, allowing small items to be kept separate.
It holds a 500ml bottle, sized just right for a short outing.

Tatami woven from upcycled Kyushu igusa, paired with soft, high-grade shrunken-grain leather tanned in Himeji.
Both are natural materials that age beautifully.
Enjoy the patina of the leather developing alongside the igusa as it deepens to a warm amber.
