Swung by this lovely shop a few days ago where I bought the Tatami Slip-On Loafers (they were so comfortable the first time wearing them out to dinner- highly recommend) and my lady purchased the Tatami Sandal Slippers! I stopped by Liberato Tokyo and was really impressed by their tatami loafers. The woven tatami insole feels incredibly comfortable and keeps your feet cool, and the leather quality is excellent. The design is elegant but still very Japanese in spirit. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful with sizing. A special place if you appreciate craftsmanship and unique footwear. I highly recommend paying a visit!

素晴らしい体験でしたが、予約は必ずメッセージで取るようにしてください。できれば前日までに。お店は少し分かりにくい場所にありますが、東京スカイツリーや浅草寺を訪れるならすぐ近くです。東京スカイツリーに立ち寄った際に、お店が閉まっていたので、まずはお店に行ってみました。その日の午後にInstagramアカウントにメッセージを送ったところ、翌日（日曜日）に予約を取ることができました。サイズは大きめで、普段はUSサイズ12を履いている私でも、28cmサイズで快適に履けました。畳のインソールを使った、とてもユニークな靴です。素材が快適で、臭いを吸収してくれるので、素足で履くことを推奨しています。おすすめです！
Great experience but make sure to message them to make an appointment, ideally a day before.Store is a bit out of the way but nearby if you're already visiting Tokyo Skytree or Sensō-ji.I walked in first since I was visiting Tokyo Skytree but the store was closed. I messaged their instagram account that afternoon and was able to make an appointment on the next day (Sunday).Sizes fit large so while I am normally as US size 12 I was able to fit comfortably in the 28cm version.Really unique shoes with tatami mat insoles. They encourage wearing these barefoot since the fabric is comfortable and absorbs odor. Recommended!

Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.I bought the loafer slippers and the quality is just outstanding. The leather is beautifully sourced and reflects true Japanese craftsmanship. The insole is made of tatami, the outsole is Vibram, and the combination makes them incredibly breathable and comfortable.In France, you’d easily pay twice the price for this level of quality. On top of that, the seller was super friendly and helpful.If you’re visiting Japan, you should definitely try a pair and I promise you won’t regret it !!
