It sits well against the tatami insole,
and quietly finishes the look indoors or out.
On the materials and the fit
The upper is very soft vegetable-tanned leather from Himeji.
We leave it unlined,
so the suppleness of the leather itself comes through.
A softness that wraps the foot,
and underfoot, upcycled tatami from Kyushu.
Igusa rush regulates moisture and absorbs odour,
so the shoes stay comfortable worn barefoot.
The outsole is a Vibram tank sole.
Durable and grippy,
it keeps the shoe relaxed but modern.
